What is Blown-In Insulation?

As the name says, blown-in insulation is insulation that can be blown or sprayed into your home or business.  When most people think of insulation they think of batt insulation, which comes in the familiar pre-formed rolls that fit in between the studs of a wall or attic structure.  Blown-in insulation can be combined with batt insulation and blown on top to provide additional coverage.

Quick installation

Blown-in insulation can generally be completed in a few hours and almost always done in one day for our residential customers.

Temperature & Sound Control

In addition to the thermal benefits that blown-in insulation will provide your attic here in South Florida, blown-in insulation can also act as a soundproofing mechanism to help reduce outside environmental noises.

Return on Investment

Adding the correct amount of insulation to your home is a significant factor in making your home energy efficient and can help to reduce your energy bills.

What is Batt Insulation?

Batt insulation is the most common kind of insulation and most recognized. Batt insulation comes in pre-formed rolls that fit in between the studs of your home or business. Batt can be added to both horizontal and vertical surfaces including walls, ceilings, roofs and attics.

Additions, Renovations, or New Construction

Batt insulation is best installed inside new or renovated spaces. If you’re adding on to your home, renovating an existing space, or have new construction, Renegade Insulation can help you insulate your space.

Temperature & Sound Control

Similar to blown-in insulation, batt insulation will provide your home with both thermal protection and help to reduce external noise in your home here in South Florida.

More Comfort For You & Your Air Conditioner

Make your home or business more comfortable all year long with the proper amount of insulation.  Batt insulation can also help your air conditioner perform better by preventing cool air from escaping your home.

A Great Investment in Your Space

A properly insulated space is a great benefit for potential buyers when it comes time to sell your home. You’ll also benefit from a more efficient and comfortable space.

What is Spray Foam Insulation?

Spray foam is an alternative to traditional building insulation products like batt or blown-in. Spray foam insulation consists of a two-compound mixture that comes together to form an expanding foam that’s typically sprayed in walls, ceilings, or attic floors.

What Makes Spray Foam Insulation Different?

Spray foam insulation creates an impermeable thermal barrier that, unlike traditional fiberglass insulation, doesn’t allow air to pass through the insulation barrier. Areas treated with spray foam insulation can insulate as much as 50% better than our traditional fiberglass insulation products like batt or blown-in insulation.

Can I Use Spray Foam Insulation Everywhere?

Since spray foam insulation creates the impermeable thermal barrier, we advise that it’s used correctly in an attic space to avoid “super heating” your attic in our Southern Florida climate.

We Remove Old Insulation

Renegade Insulation removes old insulation from your home or business using our industrial-grade vacuum. Old insulation is professionally removed from your space and placed in our no-mess bag system where it is disposed of outside of your home.  Our professional removal equipment is safe, clean, and well worth avoiding the mess of trying to remove it by hand.

Professional Removal is The Safe Choice

Oftentimes pests occupy attic spaces leaving behind a hazardous environment that needs to be handled professionally. If you have an older home asbestos may be a factor that needs to be considered as well. Our professional team utilizes protective gear to safely remove these harmful products from your home before we install fresh, safe insulation.
